What is NDA?
National Defense Academy, which is known as NDA in short, also known as “Rashtriya Raksha Akademi” in Hindi, NDA is a joint military academy for the recruitment of 3 major forces of the Indian Navy, Army, and Air Force, etc. This exam is conducted twice a year by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) and after passing the exam, there is an interview is conducted by SSC (Staff Selection Commission).

Qualification for NDA Exam:
- 10+2 to the candidate
- Must be a citizen of India
- Candidate must be unmarried
- The minimum age of the candidate should be 16.5 years and the maximum age should be 19 years

How to Join NDA:
All the candidates have to go through these steps to join the National Defense Academy.
Step 1: Do the 12th class with the PCM subject: To do NDA, first you have to pass the 12th class and in the 12th class you have to take PCM (Physics Chemistry Math) subject and pass a 60% mark
Step 2: Must pass the UPSC NDA exam: After passing class 12th, the exam conducted by UPSC NDA has to be passed. This exam is conducted twice a year at the national level in the months of April and September.
Step 3: SSC interview will have to pass: After qualifying for UPSC NDA after passing the 12th standard, you will have to pass the interview conducted by SSC (Staff Selection Commission) in which you will have to pass the physical fitness test, group discussion, and personal interview. Must pass successfully After passing the student will be sent for training in Pune for 3 years
Step 4: Complete the training: After completing 3 years of training by National Defense Academy, according to your performance, you are given a job in Army, Navy, and Airforce.

Exam Pattern:
